This 1938 Richardson boat has been fully restored and can be yours for the upcoming season. The boat is in the water in it's covered slip at Bay Boat Works, in North East, MD. Neverdone took First in Class and Best in Show at the 25th Annual Antique and Classic Boat Show in St Michaels, MD in June of 2012. She has been out of the water twice since then for bottom paint, hull touch ups, fresh coats of varnish and new zincs. Her 4 cylinder Graymarine motor was completely rebuilt to include having all 4 cylinders re-sleeved and electronic ignition installed. She starts as fast as you can pull out the starter button and runs like a sewing machine, burning about 3-4 gallons per hour at cruise. Written up in an article in Motorboats (A Wooden Boat Magazine publication, see the PDF under "Resurrecting Neverdone") this boat maintains her original components as stated in the article. Nothing was overlooked during her meticulous restoration. A few nods to modernity and safety were tastefully incorporated into the restoration. These include the aforementioned electronic ignition, Electro scan waste treatment, GARMIN GPSMAP 500 Series with BlueChart g2 Vision card, 3 Jabsco Bilge pumps, Atwood Marine Water Heater, Jabsco marine Toilet, ProMariner ProSport Series battery charger and a Whale Twist Handheld deck shower for use on the solid teak and stainless swim platform.New stainless counter top, replated faucets, new wiring, plumbing from stem to stern. All modern items are tastefully integrated and hidden from view so as not to detract from the originality of the surroundings.
The Little Giant model lives up to it's name in spectacular fashion. At 26 ft in lengthand 8 feet across the stern, she sleeps 5 with no problem. The center facing seats serve as interior dining area seating with the original mahogany dining table snugged into it's fittings. The two center facing seats fold up to become bunk beds on both sides of the center aisle. The transom seat provides anamazingly comfortable bed for the fifth guest. The mahogany table has fittings in the cabin, the aft cockpit area and storage fittings on the starboard side. It is just one of the many thoughtful design elements that come together to make this a true "Little Giant". Hot and cold running water is available in the galley, the head and the swim platform shower ingeniously hiddenunder the transom seat. Hot water is provided by the water heater and by the motor as water is plumbed through the engine to supplement the hot water heater.
