Owen Speedship

Out of winter storage and up for sale is this vintage Owens Speedship. The boat is in good running order and was out on the lake the year before last year. The boat has a vintage 1960 Evinrude Lark II 40 hp that was serviced in the last 2 years. The boat does have plenty of get up and go. The boat has 2 rows of seating that folds down and modern outdoor carpeting. When I got the boat it had a modern plastic gas tank. I replaced that with 2 metal gas tanks because it just seemed to fit better with the boat.The vintage Spartan trailer it is on is a tilt trailer. There are not too many like this around anymore and the trailer is in very good shape. I did have the lights working but it seems that they have stopped. It is most likely the ground on the trailer or the connector on my truck. I did go through the wiring for the trailer 3 years ago.I am not going to tell you the boat is in mint condition. It has its issues. I was going to install a radio but never finished. The speedometer hose needs to be reattached on the back of the boat. There are spots where the paint has chipped (Nothing major).The generator needs to be connected if you want the motor to charge the battery, but one charge did me good for a whole season. I did not have time for going out in it last year so I got it ready and never got out. It went back into storage never hitting the water last year.The great thing about this boat is the looks it gets. It rides low in the water and you are sure to be the only boat on a lake that has fins. This thing is so fun but due to my current job and other projects I can't keep this one and have time for fun with it. I am finding vintage cars are more functional for me.I am in central WI so I am willing to go into north Illinois and into easternMinnesotato deliver or meet up with you. Payment is via PAYPAL or a prearranged method when it is delivered. The lights on the trailer will be working before pickup or delivery.
