Mandella SK

1970 Mandella 18 foot SK v-drive flatbottom project. Prior owner bought the boat from the original owner a couple of years after it was built. Was originally built by Mandella with a 392 Hemi. The prior owner used the boat for a few years, and the engine was due for a rebuild. He got the engine back in the boat to test it out and then removed it to start restoring the entire boat. He spent thousands cutting out the old fiberglass tanks, flo-coating the floor, having all custom rigging fabricated, including engine rails, new cavitation pillow blocks, and dumping the old top loader for a split case casale. He also bought a new Ellis trailer that this sits on in '86 and was used for about 1,000 miles before sitting for years while the restoration went on and on. As with a lot of projects, life got in the way and it sat and sat and never was it completed.

This is a very solid project that needs an engine and a couple of buckets. The engine rails have never even been drilled, so whatever you have in mind will work. There are 2 aluminum tanks included but not shown, as is the drive shaft. The paint is serviceable but it's no showboat. It has the usual battle scars and should be redone if you want it done right. I think the pictures make it look better than it is, but if this was a car the best description I can think of is 'driver quality' paint.

Old Mandella flattys are not all that easy to find anymore. This one is a super start for your project and the opening bid is about what it would cost to buy a Casale split case, and all with no reserve.
