I redid this boat probable 6 yrs ago,I had an evinrude on it but the Johnson looks better,you are buying with the Johnson 18hp elelctric start,few pics might have evinrude,new rub rail and the interior is new, it has an attwood space ship bow light on it,will not separate,neat trailer on water skiis,this has been in my collection since I finished it,cable steering which works fine but I was always going to put new style cable,I do have controls for it that I borrowed,but will replace, Please call with questions before bidding phone,it is for sale locally so I reserve right to close auction early

My grandfather Irvin E. Cook and son invented this boat in the 50s near his home in Syracuse and I'd ride in it when visiting he and my grandma Janette. He was a chemist that figured out how to make fiberglass durable for consumer products like this and arrows, fishing rods, underground shelters, etc. My aunt showed me his drawings. His marketing partner was a Mr. Wilson and their company name was Wil-Co. Unfortunately, his partner ran off with the money though since my grandpa was a genius and didn't trust anyone with written formulas! Wilson went on to make a huge stolen fortune with Wilson tennis rackets. Do you know if the company still exists? Where did you buy this from?
