1976 Marine Trader 34 Double Cabin TrawlerI bought this beautiful trawler earlier this year with plans to do some summer cruising on the east coast, but I now find myself not able to leave my job here on the west coast and I am reluctantly offering her for sale again. The gentleman I bought her from, Matt, is veryknowledgeable about these trawlers and has agreed to assist me in finding her a new skipper. She is lying in Essex, MD and is ready to be launched and loved by her new owner.The bulletproof reliable twin 80hp Ford Lehman diesels have very low hours, this is a very rare configuration and highly sought after for the great maneuverability that only a twin screw boat can provide, no bow thruster needed.Each engine has very low total run time, Port 1425 hrs Starboard 550 hrs.The twin Ford Lehman 80hp diesels sip 1 gallon per hour each at 1750 rpm , cruising speed 8 knots, one of the most economical and sought after boats in the cruising world. Regularly they sell for 25-35 thousand dollars in Bristol condition, this one is not far from being in that category, however there are a few things that need to be done to bring it to that level. The flying bridge was removed for trucking transport, and some interior wood panels need to be stripped and varnished and window leaks addressed, (see photos, these are typical issues for these trawlers). The decks have a soft spot or two, but this can be fixed very easily by replacing the plywood that goes in between the teak and the solid glass bottom, another typical issue that all these trawlers have before they went to all glass decks in the 80s.The boat is ready to be splashed and cruised!
