Selling my 2001 Malibu Sunsetter. We just moved into a new home with a small garage and life is just too busy to pay to store a boatright now. Selling this with NO RESERVE! Boat will go to the highest bidder!This Malibu starts right up and runs great. Has a re-built Indmar V-8 that puts out 325 hp. Just over 380 hours on the rebuilt motor (hour source is from previous owner.) The boat has a 10 person max capacity... we had 6 of us out on the lake this past Saturday and had a great day.The Titan tower is solid. The last boat I had the tower would shake and rattle over chop in the water. Not only was it annoying, but eventually it started to cause cracking in the gel coat where the tower attached. This Titan tower is very solid and doesn't move at all. It's also VERY easy to fold if you want to put it in the garage. I really do like the tower.It does have the rear transom mount for a Malibu Wedge. Unfortunately the person I bought the boat from had misplaced the actual wedge.Please understand that this is a used boat that could use a few things cosmetically!I purchased this boat used onclassifieds board last year. Let's just say that I don't feel like the seller was totally upfront and honest. He may have not understood a lot about what he was selling so I hate to throw him under the bus... But this is what info I know is new and has been replaced this past year.New interior ($4000)New StarterNew BatteryNew Bilge pumpOil Change, Trans fluid change, new impeller 2 engine hours ago.Trailer stuff...I just replaced the trailer brakes, safety chains and hitch coupler.New tires and new bunks on the trailer.I don't hesitate to take this lake with myfamily at all. It runs excellent and starts right up. With that said, I wonder if this boat was maybe part of a ski club of sorts. It's been very well taken care of mechanically, but it shows more wear than I would expect for a 2001 Malibu. I would rate the exterior a6 to 7 out of 10 cosmetically. The boat just shows wear around the rub rail from use. The right rear of the boat must have been tied to a dock for a decent amount of it's life as that is the spot that shows the most wear. The trailer is about the same... maybe a 7 out of 10. The trailer is galvanized and could be painted with the right equipment which would improve the looksimmensely. I did just have the bunks replacedprofessionally.PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ask any questions that you may have before you bid. The boat is available for you to come see in person.
