Godfrey Hurricane Fundeck Deck Boat 226REF 22' 175 HP Mercury 1992
This is a perfect, all around Family boat. We use it for both fishing and water skiing. I can hardly express how wonderful this boat is in every aspect, comfort, room, Speed, economy and handling. This boat will go anywhere from 25-34 MPH. We typically have 12-13 people when we are water skiing. There is plenty of room. It also has no problem getting on plane even with that kind of load. The engine is relatively fuel efficient.
Hurricane has a great reputation as one of the very best deck boats out there. We think the deck boat is the best boat to have. Great for fishing, water skiing or all around family time.
We also built a custom enclosure. The enclosure essentially builds a room for of the boat. It is good way to get out of the Sun, get out of the Wind and cold or maybe just get away from the Mosquitos.
This boat is also great for fishing. The shallow draft lets you get into a lot of places. The trolling motor is also great for fishing though I have not mounted the new (Well used) one. The last trolling motor stopped working and I have not gotten around to mounting this one. I have used it for trolling on Lake Michigan with the enclosure but did not like it with the fumes at such a low idle. Would definitely need a trolling motor for something like this.
We have also used this boat for scuba diving on Lake Michigan. I have a larger cabin boat that would seem better but this boat gets me to the dive site faster and I have full confidence in it.
We have taken this boat on the Ocean for 1 vacation (Different motor at the time). We also have had this boat in very large waves, maybe 4-6 footers. It was not the best ride in the world but I was never worried. I also might not recommend you do this :) It is a very stable boat, much like a pontoon. When the waves are large, you may just get a little wet but with a self draining deck, it is pretty safe.
Our family has really enjoyed this boat, whether it was water skiing on Long Lake or Sturgeon fishing up north. We will be sad to see it go. The reason we are selling is because I have 2 boats and I am trying to get down to 1 boat just for ease of maintaining them.

We are putting this boat up for sale now, in the wrong season, as a ditch effort to have money for our next boat. We will try for a few weeks and then pull it off until April. I am not dying to sell it and if I am left with a single boat, this would be the one I would want as I can do anything with it.
Shipping Details: There will be no shipping at all.
Thanks,
Steve
