Cranchi 39 Endurance
Fresh water use only since new and professionally maintained. If you admire Porsche, Jaguar or MB, then Cranchi is your boat. Made in Italy the Cranchi brand is the most sought after boat in the Mediterranean for off shore and weekend pleasure. Featuring state of the art quality and leading edge technology the same step hulldesign remains in production on this model today. Cranchi, a continuous Family owned business dating back to1870 produce ultra high quality boats withdistinctiveEuro sleek style and outstanding performance for a safe ride in any conditions. The modern Cranchi plant is stationed in Lake Como Italy and employs 300 of which fully18 work in R&D alone. The Cranchi 39 according to Boatpoint Magazine in Australia" is one of the best moulded hulls in the world". Capable of speedsin excess of 40 mph with planning time under 4 seconds this boat is fun to drive and a pleasure to show off at the dock. As for performance, you can expect banking in turns without letting go at speeds in the range of 30KT. Adding to handling capability and comfort rarely found in any other boatare longitudinal stringers over divicell core material which together with a deep VEE hull and hard chine making rough water handling both fun and safe in off shore conditions. Three near watertight compartments add a safety factor unknown in boats of this price range.
Cranchi takes prideleading Industry technology years ahead of the competition making efficient boats with incredibly strong lightweight hulls weighing just 14,500 lbs. thanks to Kevlar reinforcement (see below). This lightweight efficiency makes gasoline engines the ideal propulsion; no need for diesel power with accompanying high maintenance and costly repairs which are required for other comparable 40 foot boats weighing 20 or 25,000 lbs. Unless you are using your boat for at least 250 hours per year and your boat weighs in excess of 20,000 lbs. you don't require diesel engines.Volvo I/O drives make docking easy with duo props and Volvo 7.4 L engines which have earned a reputation for dependability and smooth performance.Helm seatdriving position is designed ergonomically to allow the driver to remain seated under way with 360 degree vision unlike many boats where remaining seated is simply not an option. There are 4 step up levels from the swim platform to the helm level which gives the helmdriving position an ideal elevated view to all points of the vessel and water. The aft stateroom is directly below the helm sothis raised areaalso provides more headroom below in the aft stateroom. A dash mounted rudder indicator simplifies docking allowing you to enjoy boating with less stress.
The hull is the most important component of a boat. You may wonder why Kevlar is used by Cranchi so it is important to know exactly what Kevlar is and how it makes the hull superior. Kevlar is a material formed by combining paraphenyleneiamine and terephthaloyl chloride. Aromatic polyamide (aramid) threads are the result. They are further refined by dissolving the threads and spinning them into regular fabrics. When woven, Kevlar forms a strong and flexible material. If layers of the woven Kevlar are combined with layers of resin, the resulting "rigid" material is light and has twenty (20) times the strength of steel. However, Kevlar is expensive due to the demands of the manufacturing process and the need for specialist equipment. Kevlar is used in tires, in Fighter jets panels and wings, inUS military applications like the Bradley Fighting vehicles, gas tanks for Formula One racers, flak jackets for military and police and other similar applications. Hulls made from fiberglass alone are limited in their resistance to force and stress and are found in most production boats on the water today.A Kevlar reinforced hullis very comforting to have around the dock when the winds pick up and on the open waters with your family when the hull is under stress. The Cranchi hulls were designed to last a lifetime.
Accommodation is stylish and comfortable for 4 to 6, featuring the largest cockpit of any boat this size, a hydraulic trunk at the stern for a dinghy and fenders, a wet bar, rear private stateroom with sink and cabinets, electric toilet, A/C and generator, radar, GPS and new teak and holly decks throughout. Fiberglass both outside and inside to all interior components, impressivesolid cherry doors, corian counters, stainless steel sink, electric headand proper stainless steel ship port holes adding to the safety of this craft. All waste water overboard ports for a/c and bilge exhaust are fully underwater and as a result are silent in operation. This is especially appreciated in the marina where quiet is valued. With new bottom paint, waxand outdrives recently serviced, new teak flooring throughout, and new electronics, this boat is ready for the next season. Full canvas and tonneau cover are both in good condition.
Please note: The only item needing attention is the cockpit seating. I had a professional dye the seats after some fading had occurred but the sealant was improperly applied and the dye peeled off. The seats are in good condition but lack the appearance you would expect from a boat of this this caliber. I am having them reupholstered in the off season or compensate with a price reduction accordingly.
