Chris Craft Wooden Boat Barracuda Antique

Up for auction is a 1955 Chris Craft Barracuda kit boat . I purchased the boat from the original owner in the fall from Illinois and had it towed on its trailer here to New Jersey . I have decided that the boat is to nice to use as a salt water boat and have decided to let it go to someone who appreciatesit as a true classic that it is . Theboat is exactly how it arrivedwhen I purchased it . It came with 2 windshields which are going to need brackets to install. The fuel tank is no longer with the boat as well as thefuel line system . The Motor hada tag with theprevious owners name written on it on the shift linkage as if it were serviced by a dealer and not used once completed . I removed the tag and hooked up all linkages and it seems toshift correctly and steer as it was build in the 50's with pulley steering . The motor is equipped with electric start but the battery wires show some age and are going to needs some work . The motor pull startcord works perfect and it seems to have good compression . I have not run the motor so be advised it is super clean under the cowl but it has not been run since the 70's I wouldguess. The trailer is operable but is going to need some work on the lights . Wheel bearings are new and it tows nice . ( Just made 650 mile trip ) . This is an awesome looking rig andwould be a real head turner out on some lake or river .
