Chris Craft 14 Foot Chris Craft Kit Boat -- Original Trailer

This is a genuine Chris Craft Kit Boat from 1958. It was very nicely assembled -- very nice. It was always stored indoors on Harsen's Island. I will start with the bad news: It needs one piece of plywood replaced on the top-rear deck. That material is just Fir Plywood and would take very little time to replace.... It would be done by removing the filler plugs, removing the Philips screws that secure it, make a pattern, cut the new wood and screw it back down. Stain and varnish would be next. To be mint you would want to replace it up to the step pads next to the front seats. My friend Dave is a professional Chris Craft repairman who does that for a living. He would be glad to discuss that repair with you if you feel it is more than you can handle. To me it looks like 8 hours of work. He could do that repair before you pick up your boat if you purchase it. He is dependable and does very nice work on boats far more valuable than this one.Other than that -- Water Ready!
