Checkmate Jetmate

This is my 1975 Checkmate Jetmate.This is a super rare boat and even more rare is that its a matching numbers boat.Same drive,same factory engine.Its got a super healthy ford 460 big block that i had the freeze out plugs replaced with new brass ones.The carb was upgraded from a 650 holley to a larger 750 edlebrock and it has made a nice increase in the top end.I replaced all the water manifold gaskets,fuel pump ,plugs,hoses ,fuel filter,bildge pump,New altenator,steering cable and throttle cable.Boat JUst had all new clear coat sprayed about a month ago and it looks awesome in the water!I get thumbs up everywhere i take it.It does have the jetovater in it still,its not hooked up but i do have a new cable for it.The Berkly jet pump is excellent,has a nice ride plate and a fin on the bottom for a little bit of steering at lower speeds.I put 2 newer style seats up front but they could use some freshening up.The back 2 seat are factory laydown style and I would have them recovered.Guages all work good,stereo is there but i have not messed with it.This boat is a blast to drive and wontbeat you up like most jet boats thanks to the 2 stepped hull.It fires right up,and suprisingly isn"t bad on gas either.I have had a blast with it and I didn"t hammer on it all the time either,but when you do,look out,The throttle response is awesome!!!Great boat,and whoever gets it will be very happy.
