DOWNSIZING!!! Kids are grown and on their own, selling all the

toys, sold the lake home, and moving south. Selling our 1986 Checkmate

Diplomat 16' performance boat. I purchased this boat new in the Fall

off 1986. It is equipped with a 135 HP Mercury Black Max outboard with

tilt and trim, stainless steel prop, and automatic trim tabs. As this

boat only weighs 875 pounds with no fuel or motor, it is a very fast

boat running in the low to mid 60 MPH at wide open throttle. It is a

wide and safe boat with an 89" beam, forward facing seats in the open

bow, swivel bucket seats for the driver and passenger, and full width

back seat with a removable ski pylon behind the seat. It is also

equipped with in floor storage, 4 drink holders, AM/FM Cassette stereo

with 4 speakers, and storage in the bow. This boat easily pulls up 2

people on single skis and can pull 2 barefoot skiers with ease. The

boat has pulled up to 6 people with everyone on two skis. The wake is

only 4" at 30 MPH. I have always covered the entire boat with a

mooring cover (included in the sale) and kept the boat on a covered boat

lift. (available at an additional price). In the off season, the boat is

stored in a secure building. The gel coat shines as new and the interior

fabric is free of holes, tears,rips,and also shines as new. This boat

also comes with a 1988 Shore Lander roller trailer with a spare tire.

This boat will give years of trouble free continued service. This boat

today retails at over $35,000 plus accessories and trailer. I am asking

1/3 of this price which is $9,500.00. No disappointments with this

boat. A non-refundable deposit of $500.00 is required at the end of the auction. Balance is due and payable in cash or certified bank cashiers check (with letter from the bank) at the time of pick-up at which time a clear title for the boat and trailer will be provided.
