Carver Boats Monterey

For sale is my 1981 Carver 2687 Monterey power cruiser. The boat is truly an "old school" classic and has always been well maintained. This is a lot of boat for the money, I know because I'm looking at a larger boat. (Family growing!) It is currently winterized and tucked away (indoors) until spring. I have the original owner's manual and most receipts of any work that was done. If there were items that needed repairs, I did most and relied on the marina (Lake Rathbun, Iowa) for the balance.Features: double axle trailer with new tires and bearings, cook stove AC/white gas, refrigerator AC/DC, double battery charger/maintainer, Froli sleep system, 2 anchors, 2 props, 2 batteries, rail mounted kettle grill, life vests, depth finder, hydraulic trim tabs, factory compass, the hard top is a factory original.Recent improvements: Distributor with rotor, cap & wires; bilge pump; Edelbrock high performance carburetor; tune-up; engine water pump, reupholstered exterior seats and deck cushions, aluminum seat pedestals, curtains and canvas, interior carpet, refinishing of much exterior wood work, replaced seat cabinets, bottom paint, This boat was built and launched in Wisconsin and eventually moved to Iowa. Stylish and versatile, this Carver is one of the more attractive yachts in her class. A great "weekender" with lots of well appointed features and onboard storage. Will sleep 4 comfortably. The dining table drops down for a bed. Odometer reads 618 hours and I believe this to be true. The gentleman I purchased it from kept her on Lake Red Rock (Iowa) and I was told that he rarely took her out and only entertained on it. The engine is your basic 260 HP Chevy V-8 power plant with readily available parts and is easy to work on. Very economical to run! I tow this boat with my F-150, no problems.
