Bayliner CAPRI 1600

This auction is for a newly completed (2016) Bayliner project boat. The hull is a 1986 model 1600 Capri 16 foot fiberglass bow rider. My son bought this boat last year in Pennsylvania (fresh water boat.Startingin March of 2016, I ripped out all the interior, seats, floor, bulkheads, carpeting, etc. The main floor stringers were "sistered up" with pressure treated lumber, and all the floor boards replaced with pressure treated plywood, then fibreglassed over, and painted two coats with Rustoleum Restore. All wiring was upgraded; new horn, lights replaced, bilge pump re wired, battery leads upgraded, battery transfer switch/ disconnect switch new and both batteries almost new and working perfectly. New ignition switch, nav light switch, pump switch and horn button. Removable floor panels installed.Four brand new adjustable swivel seats with arm rests installed. Many other cosmetic and convenience upgrades. N.J. boat registration current.The motor is a 1986 Force 85 HP outboard that really runs greatand pushes the boat extremely well. Had it going at 37 miles per hour wide open and easily cruises nicely up on plane around 20 MPH. Compression on all three cylinders between 128# and 136#.Single six gallon fuel tank.Solonoid wiring replaced, battery cables replaced/upgraded, complete new fuel line, lower unit oil changed, new water pump impeller, carbs cleaned, and garden hose motor flusher included.Trailer isthe original that came with the boat. Galvanized, and still in excellent condition. New towing tongue, new winch and cable, new safety chains, all completely new wiring and lights, new third wheel and jack, brand new tires and wheels, bearings serviced and new bearing buddy grease injectors added, spare tire and lock, tie down straps, brand new towing cover, additional winter cover and bungees, all tested and run to insure trouble free operation. Main stringers/slide rails just replaced with new treated lumber, new indoor outdoor carpeting and all new galvanized hardware. Registration current.Gear included is significant.Five life jackets, two throwable type four flotation devices, fire extinguisher, two oars, two fishing rods with reels, tackle box with tackle, telescoping boat hook, two catch nets, six gallon fuel tank, tool kit in water resistant ammo box, brand new anchor and new 100 foot rope, mooring / tie up lines, original owners manual for boat and motor, AND ...a five gallon pail to put ALL THE FISH IN!!!!! Docking bumper and full set of heavy foul weather gear also included. I have trailed, launched and run this boat extensively on two occasions since completion of the workin July of 2016. Both times it all operated flawlessly, and not even a single drop of water in the hull. It has, however, made me realize that at 67 years old I am too old to handle this by myself which is why I am selling it.
