Baja 180 Islander
Up for auction is my 97 Baja Islander. For starters,I purchased this boat new in 98. From there, it has lived its life on a private lake. It has been super reliable. We have not had any issues at all with it. All maintenance has alwaysperformed regularly. It has a rare5.7 liter 350. A rep at The Chicago boat show said theydid not sell many of these with thatmotor. They were allsupposed to be 4.3 V6 or305 V8only, but the factory ran out off them that year. So any late yearv8 ordered boats were filled with the 5.7 liter. With that said, this boat has not been modified or tampered with in any way. The boat runs consonantly 53 mph in bone stock unmodified form! Unfortunately, We have a speed limit on the lake we areat. Ithas been used as more of a cove boat.Hours I would guesstimate at being very low however this never had an hour meter from the factory. Being a lake boat, we just performed the maintenance yearly, needed or not. Overall condition is exceptional for a boat this age. The hull is in really nice, near perfectshape, never patched, no accidents what so ever etc. It does have some small dock rub marks over the years, but very minimal. The engine compartment is really clean and has been well taken care of. The interior is in great shape as well, not faded at all, no stressed stitching, no tears or hard use of any kind. (shoes are never allowed on my boat...ever!). There are a few very minor stains in the carpet from the occasional sippy cup accident, but very few. As far as canvas's go, it coms with the color matched trailering cover and a bimini top with the purple matching storage cover. The trailer is the original painted to match Eagle single axel with surge brakes. No issues ever with the trailer as well.
This boat has never been stored outside. It has been stored indoors at the lake houseand climate controlled stored over the winter months at home.
Please feel free to ask any and all questions. The pictures do not do this boat any justice. I encourage you to come out and look at it etc. Just let me know!
Overall, this has been an exceptional boat thatwehave truly loved owning.I really hope the next one is this nice.
The reserve is set very low for a Baja in this condition.
Please, have all your ducks in a row and all interested party's on board(pun intended), before you bid. These auctions are not free.
