Have owned boat a little over 8 yrs. Short story long bought when son was 2 yrs old to have somewhere to let him knap, eat, stay cool, ect.... sowe could still get out on the water as a family. When he turned 8use pretty much came to a halt with family and friends having ski boats to tube, wakeboard ect.... He is almost 11 now. For the last 2-3 yrs less than 20 hrs has been put on the boat. Boat is not being used and tired of paying marina slip rental, So need gone now!!!!
Boat has served us well. What I know theboatneedsbesides used. Left engine has a slight miss above 1500 rpm. Cranks fine, oil pressure good, temp good, compression good. Just started this recentlywhen I took it out just to run it since being used so little. Ask one of the guyswith the marine service business at the marina I keep it at. Them knowing how little boat has been used the last few years he stated most likely old or dirty fuel. Am on their waiting list to get it checked out but they are 2+ months out on getting to me(only marine service busiwithin many miles). Generator has always run like a top and been serviced regularly. Went to crank it to let it run some as well. Would fire then shut down. Called the gen place that has serviced it in the past and said same thing most likely bad/dirty fuel, with the other most likely being one of the 3 sensors(temp, oil, high speed idle) has gone bad. Said Westerbekes are bullit proof with the most common items ever needing replaced are the sensors. But same issue with him. Said it would be 2-3 months before he could get to me as he is 75+ miles away and covered up with worklocally.
